Painting fashion *Updated*

I've mentioned a few times here and there that I'm an artist :) I've been seeing a lot of fashion art ever since I got into fashion blogging (3 months ago) and I must say it inspired me to get out the water color paints and paint brushes that have been collecting dust for the last year or two. Below are some very popular fashion bloggers whose style I love. I plan to do a lot more so please let me know what you think!

My favorite painting would have to be of Fashion Hippie Loves. Which is your favorite?

On the subject of painting, here are a few of my older watercolor paintings I did a few years ago.

Do you recognize her? This is Kandee Johnson, the famed youtube beauty guru styled as Jessica Rabbit. She made this picture her Bloglovin link. I love Kandee and you might too! You can see her blog here: http://www.kandeej.com/

All of my paintings are for sale, you can see more of them starting slide 19 in my portfolio presentation on the Portfolio tab. :)

Tomorrow I'll be posting an outfit post so long as it is sunny :) By the way, it's a bit late but I hope your Christmas was wonderful and that you were able to spend it with your family and friends, receive and give fabulous presents and eat a lot of delicious food. :)

New dress - Asos, purse - Aldo, heels - Cathy Jean, New coat - Miss Selffridge, necklace - mall kiosk

It's technically Christmas Eve! But only because I'm up past midnight on the 23rd of December :) This is officially the first Christmas of my life that I am spending home in California. Ever since I was born, my grandma in Utah has insisted my family goes up and spends Christmas in her home. But this past October she passed away so it will be a bit bittersweet.

On a positive note we finally get to do everything OUR way! We are able to enjoy our Christmas lights and tree entirely. We can have our friends over for games. We can cook our favorite foods, and not worry about suitcase space for all our presents.

This is my new lacy Asos dress that came in the mail yesterday! I definitely plan to style it for the colder days next time I wear it as I was truly freezing my butt off for these photos. I also got a pair of brown heels from them. Very cute, but oh my how did I not notice they are 6 inches high! I do believe falling in heels that high is like falling down 2 stories. I certainly can't keep them, even if its just for photos. As for the dress, it is definitely a head turner = keeper. :)

New coat - Steve Madden (find at alloy.com as Princess coat), New bag - Big Buddha (got for half off on Sneakpeeq.com), leggings - Charlotte Russe, top - Forever 21, vest - Forever 21, necklace - Arden B, New shoes - Aldo

I love my new white coat. I actually just saw a picture of Sienna Miller in a black coat with almost the exact same cut yesterday, floating around tumblr. I got pretty excited thinking we had the same coat but alas hers was custom made. When it comes to coats, and if you are into fashion, I feel like these are the coat staples you must have: black coat, trench coat, white coat, camel colored coat, coat with fur lapel, fur coat, bright colored coat and some short coats. Too much? I guess it just depends how trendy each one is. Because coats can get pricey you know?

Speaking of tumblr, I just made one yesterday. It can be addicting but so can fashion blogging. There are just so many easy ways to waste time! Gosh! I will be posting some of my paintings (with a watermark) there by the way.

I was recently talking about how I needed black ankle boots. Well I got some, as you can see, and I do like them, but I want another pair where they are tighter around the ankle and with more platform. But these are pretty understated in a good way so I am keeping these :)

We are hosting a Christmas party tomorrow. We are going to have so much yummy food!! Decorations are already up and I can't wait to see everyone :) Oh and I was talking about White Elephant gifts last time, but I forgot to mention some good sites to find creative, unique or funny gifts. So even though it is a bit late, my suggestions are: http://www.itsugar.com, flapples.com, modcloth.com, spencersonline.com and thinkgeek.com.

So shiny, So Silver

Last night there was ice on the garbage bins, when I took my trash out at 3 am. First off, bad idea to take it out at 3 am, because its always so cold and creepy, not to mention you are probably very tired. But it was so cool, both figuratively and literally! :) It sparkled and glittered in the streetlight, and I realized the grass was frosty too.
But during the day it is back to say, 65 degree fahrenheit which is really not bad for a dress like this :)

New dress - Romwe, tights - ?, shoes - Aldo, New bag - Romwe, bracelet - Forever 21

I also have here my Romwe bag, my first ever Romwe purchase. I found out about www.romwe.com through Chictopia, because on Chictopia everyone has Romwe this, Romwe that. And I just had to know what the fuss is about. Its great because if you nab something fab, you know you probably won't see anyone else with the same thing on as you. Then you don't have to worry about a "Who did it better" situation! :) But really it's wonderful being able to find such unique stuff!
Oh and I might add its not really a silvery blue, just dark shiny silver. But in my photos the dress is reflecting the sky!

This is from my second purchase with Romwe. So far, I give them 4.5/5 stars! Minus 1/2 a star because I have to wait so long! lol. But really, they still get an A- because 1) Everything I've ordered looks exactly like the pictures on the site 2) I always find a coupon code and save a bunch of money (don't you hate when you can't find any coupon codes anywhere? Like for Lulu's... though I still love my Lulu's dresses!) and 3) Because I LOVE everything I've ordered! Of course I wouldn't buy it if I didn't love it in the first place, but the fact that when I see it in person and still love it is just fabulous.
