Stars and Stripes

Charlotte Russe Bodysuit (sold out, similar), Shorts, Flats | Zara Bag | Express Necklace | Lulus Sunnies

This look is so perfect for the 4th of July! You don't necessarily have to wear all the colors of the flag, but it can be extra fun :) If you want more of a casual look, but still want to be festive, then I recommend something like this blue and white polka dot dress, this red off-the-shoulder top, or this t-shirt.

I'm in New York right now shooting for an exciting project and I am so in love with my hotel room. But I haven't been getting much sleep the last few days so I really hope I can get a nap in ASAP! I'll be spending the 4th in Tahoe with my family this year and I'm so excited! We rented a cabin on the north side of Tahoe and we're going to have a group of 8 so it should be quite the party!

Favorite Makeup Products

Hey guys! I've received a lot of questions from my readers over the years so I thought I would start a new series on my blog where I share a new tip with you guys on Tuesdays (or as I like to call it #tiptuesday)! It will range from beauty tips to travel and everything in between.  And where better to start than with one of the topics I get asked about the most... makeup!

Sunflower Girl

Frank and Eileen Top | Lulus Skirt (sold out, similar)| Heels | Massi Necklace | Tory Burch Bag (sold out, similar) | Cluse Watch

How was your weekend? I had a great time playing with my sister's dog Sophie and also doing some online shopping. I found so many cute things on Zara! I'm excited to receive my stuff soon for my upcoming trips to... New York and Utah! I'll be posting a lot on Snapchat [hapatimee] and Instagram @hapatime so you can keep track of me there.

This Frank and Eileen top is not super soft but I still love the material and style of the shirt. It's very classic and looks especially good tied at the waist or tucked in to something just as clean.

Summertime Sport

I worked with Refinery 29 and GShock for this easygoing look I shot! The new GShock line is so fun and sporty so of course I styled my watch with sneakers and a leather backpack. But not only is my GShock watch stylish but it has a lot of cool features. It’s water resistant and what amazed me is how you can specify the city for time you are setting. I also couldn’t pass up the opportunity to match my top to the pink in the watch 

The sun has been so hot and the heat almost overwhelming, but it’s just right for me! I don’t feature that many casual looks but I am going to guess casual looks are more interesting for you guys since you can wear them a lot more places. What do you think?

Meet Sophie!

Dress (sold out, similar) | Tory Burch Bag (similar)

I'd like you to guys to meet Sophie, the cutest little thing I've ever seen in my life! My sister adopted her only one week ago and they aren't too sure but she might be a maltese, poodle or bichon mix. She is unbelievably sweet and playful, and I love that she only barks a little squeak when she is trying to play! She takes a lot of naps and has the softest, fluffiest fur. One of her eyes is a little lazy and you can see that in the photos :)

I received a lot of questions on my Instagram about this dress, but unfortunately it's sold out since I got it last year.  I did find this Charlotte Russe dress which looks almost exactly the same--and it's lilac! Plus it's under $50 and on sale right now so it's a steal!

I hope these photos bring a smile to your face!

LWP

Nasty Gal Playsuit | Michael Kors Bag (sold out, similar here) | Heels | Lulus Necklace

This looks like a dress but it's actually a playsuit... a Little White Playsuit (LWP) to be exact (also love this blush pink version). This romper is from Nasty Gal and you definitely have to check them out if you're shopping for rompers or summer dresses. They have a huge selection to choose from!

I also shot this a few days before lightening my hair and I have to say I love my blonde strands but brown hair just fits me I think. Change is always good though so you'll see it again in fall :) Once again, I wore a sticky bra with this one piece and I did not connect it in the front but rather placed each one vertically. I like that this playsuit gives my body a much better shape though I did feel like it could be more stretchy in the shoulder area. It is also double lined except in the sleeves which was great and totally not see through.

Cobalt Maxi

Banana Republic Dress (currently on sale!) | Aldo Flats | Prada Bag | EXPRESS Bracelet (similar)

This is a stunning daytime dress! I simply wore it out to run some errands like grocery shopping and the post office but I can imagine it anywhere. The color alone will turn heads if that's what you're going for, but aside from that this dress is so soft, breathable and light! You can also button or unbutton it as much as you like, as you can see I decided to show a bit more leg :) Usually my favorite maxis show a little more skin on top but this one still made the list.

Also I just lightened my hair again for summer, hopefully you guys like it! If you are in the bay area I recommend Jamie Cramer at Rage Salon in Campbell. If you mention me you can get 10% off color services.

Burgundy for Spring

Outfit details: Dress (on sale!) | Shoes | Earrings

The gorgeous print and texture of the jacquard material (you can see it better on Revolve) and the slightly Oriental vibe make this dress a piece of art. Again you would likely want to wear sticky cups (I recommend NuBra or Victorias Secret) for better shape in front. This material is really soft and the shape is so pretty - there is even a bow in the back for that perfect touch. I realized it can also work very well for Christmas but we are a very long way from there :)

I paired it with my matching pumps and earrings - I love matching everything so much!! And honestly I have had this dress in my closet for over two months now with nowhere to wear it! But I thought you guys would love it too so I had to take some pictures.

Favorite Summer Dresses

Did you guys know that summer doesn't officially start until next week?! To get ready for summer (in case you haven't started preparing already!) I've rounded up some of my favorite summer dresses. Urban Outfitters has super cute trendy dresses, and I recently bought this maxi and this romper as well. My sister loves to shop at Banana Republic and they have some great classic dresses like this stunning ombre midi dress and this maxi dress (worn below). My sister actually just bought the maxi dress in blue, and oh my gosh it is so much more beautiful in person than what you see online!

Pretty in Pink

Boohoo Bodysuit | Skirt (similar) | Lulus Heels | Coach Bag (on sale!) | Peggy Li Necklace

Deep V-s are SO in! I love the cleavage this Boohoo bodysuit gives me! My look today is super sweet with yet again - a touch of sexy. I really toned down the sex appeal though with these cute fluffy pink heels from Lulus though... what do you guys think of them? I like the texture they add even though I had to trim the fluff down with some scissors.

Pale Rose

GUESS sunnies | HM Blazer (sold out, similar) | Abercrombie and Fitch Shorts | T-Shirt | Bebe Heels | Tory Burch Bag (sold out, love this nude bag) | Peggy Li Necklace

I personally love pairing blazers with denim shorts in summer - there is something so fresh about it. My sister actually found this one at H&M and surprised me with it. Pale rose pieces are really a great neutral and are somehow much more attractive than cream or white to me.

I'm going to try to post more often again... hopefully you guys can keep up!

Dusty Lilac

Lulus Dress | Heels | Clutch (old, similar)

Just a sweet maxi with a touch of sexy. I love that this dress is double layered for extra smoothness and the material is also very soft and breathable. I wore it once for a night out in Hawaii and it was the perfect length with flats as well.

My sister turned 21 on Friday and I feel like we've been celebrating for 3 days in a row. We always throw parties at our house every summer but we just got new neighbors and this was the first time we had someone call the cops on us. We even warned a few neighbors about potential noise but I guessed we missed a house! xo

Coral Crush

Outfit Details:  and | Meredith Han Necklace

I simply didn't get enough beach in Hawaii I guess because as soon as I got back home I went off to Capitola! The weather here is beautiful but actually quite a bit hotter than I was expecting! By the coast it is cooler however, because we have that sea breeze going but otherwise the sun has been shining and it has been wonderful.

This coral dress is so perfect for summer! If you're wondering about what kind of bra to wear with this kind of open back, deep V dress, I mentioned before the Victoria's Secret gel stick on cups but I just bought the Nubra kind and I think I like it better. Make sure to not attach it in the front though but align it vertically.

I wish I got a better shot of my shoes which look a lot like my Klub Nico wedges but are much more budget friendly. XOXO

Lately in Lavender

I've probably told you guys before, but lavender is my favorite color. I never had much of it in my closet but over the years I've grown more fond of pastels in general. This is yet another classy date night/dinner look that would also work in a chic office if the back of this top wasn't so open.

I was shopping online and favorited this Ted Baker bag about a month ago but had no recollection of this until after I saw it and immediately "had to" buy it in Amsterdam about two weeks ago. I find it so interesting how quite often we might choose something just the same even though months or years apart.

Silky Sunsets

Here is another white one piece from Lulus and a few of my favorite fruits :) On this day we stopped at the Dole Plantation and a coconut stand as well. We also tried the Kuhuku Shrimp Truck, which if you guys recall two years ago we went there but didn't have any cash so so we couldn't try the food. This time we did and it was so good! There are a lot of really amazing food trucks on North Shore and I wish I could have tried all of them.

Sharks Cove

Aloha from Hawaii! Every time I come here I feel like I've come home. And somehow there is always something new to try and do. The other day my boyfriend and I went snorkeling at Sharks Cove. I've been there once before but the water was too wild so we couldn't go in. We rented our gear at Snorkel Bobs and I have to say they really have quality gear. They even recommended a bunch of places to snorkel and gave us de-fogging liquid which really worked! We saw a sea turtle, a school of fish and this creepy looking eel thing but I think it was a trumpet fish. We also stopped by Laniakea Beach which is famous for always having sea turtles that come ashore! Sure enough we saw three! I just love turtles :)

On the note of makeup and swimming (since I had a few comments about this on my Instagram): why do girls think you can't wear makeup when you go in the water? If it's waterproof or powder/pencil it will not budge if you don't touch it with your hands! (But it might fade.) The key is not wearing cake-y foundation which can make you look like you're wearing a mask. And don't bother with sunblock if your foundation has sunblock! My favorite is Jane Iredale's SPF 20 Purepressed Base (this is one of my favorite makeup lines and if you haven't had the chance to try this line out, there is a starter kit that I recommend that comes with a few samples-including the purepressed base).

Anyways my suit is from and I love it! One pieces are the best and I'm so happy they're "in." There are so many great one-pieces to choose from and I'm especially loving this ,  and these two Topshop suits ( and ). I'll probably wear one pieces for the rest of my life :D I also forgot to take off my necklaces (from Vivamacity) before I went snorkeling but luckily no damage was done!
