White Sweater

There is just something about whites and nudes that I've just recently become addicted to. Maybe it's because I'm redoing my bedroom right now and almost everything is going to be white. I seriously love white but hate that it gets dirty incredibly fast. I picked up this Brandy sweater a while ago and it is just so soft. I imagined it as a good beachy sweater but it's nice enough to wear with pumps in the city too.

Tip Tuesday: 10 Amazing Beauty Products to Try

Do you ever feel like there are too many beauty products to try and not enough time (or $$ for that matter)? Well, in hopes to help with your search, I've rounded up ten products that I'm currently loving. These products have been tried, test and coveted.

Oribe Dry Texturing Spray
I have thin, straight hair so a boost of volume is a must. This Oribe spray is perfect for everyday use. I just spray all over and I'm good to go (and no need to use dry shampoo!).

Comfydent Moments Part 2

Here is my second look in the Comfydent (comfortable + confident) series! This looks speaks Comfydence because of my comfy booties but also this sporty top that lets my comfy Hanes ComfortFlex fit bra (paired with some Hanes Cool Comfort underwear) peek out just a little bit. I love deep V necks and so it was nice to have a bra that gave a little more coverage while keeping my look casual chic. This faux leather burgundy skirt is going to be so easy to style for fall and I'm excited to show you guys more looks with it!

Have a lovely day!

Plunge Top and Ripped Denim Shorts

Urban Outfitters Top | Shorts | Michael Kors Bag (this small version is only available in stores) | Marc Fisher Boots (also love the burgundy suede version!)

I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but my hair has been a little thicker thanks to extensions! I've had them in almost 9 weeks now (I just went in for retouching yesterday). I always felt like my hair was too fine (clip ins are a pain) and so I finally looked up a quality salon in my area to see what kind of extensions they did and found out there was a new technique called nano beading. It is a way to install the extensions individually so that hair and scalp stays cleaner and there is no bulkiness around the base of the installation. I only have a half set in but could go in for the 2nd half or even the "glamazon" set. The difference in my hair thickness is pretty natural but I like that it isn't heavy on my head at all.

I actually tried extensions once before a long time ago and the (much lower quality) salon I found used a braiding/weaving technique and it was awful! I remember my head itched so much since I couldn't wash it that thoroughly. It was also impossible to put my hair in a ponytail and now I can, though it is safer to not to because it loosens the extensions a little bit. Anyways the hair artist deep conditioned my hair and I have to say it feels amazing. I don't know why I never think about never putting my hair in a mask but it really makes a difference.

Have a lovely day!

Anorak

Here is a great look for the upcoming cooler weather. I love anoraks and how they just add a coolness to any look. Of course, ripped denim and cute booties don't hurt either.
Have a great day!

Navy Knit Dress

I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. I really love navy and realized it's been a while since I wore it. I also love this dress as knit bodycon dresses, especially double lined ones, have been a favorite for at least the past year. So it was a perfect match when I saw this dress on Charlotte Russe last week! The choker is actually connected at the back in a fashion to make it a little tighter and higher. The actual style of the choker seems more like it's supposed to be lower on your neck.

I just saw War Dogs in the theater and thought it was quite good. Have you guys seen it and what did you think?

Bodysuits and Boyfriend Jeans

As you guys know, my style is very feminine and so when it comes to boyfriend jeans, I just can't bring myself to pair them with anything not semi-sexy... since of course boyfriend jeans are cool but definitely not sexy. Up top and on the bottom I'd say I went fairly glamorous but the boyfriend jeans keep my look more down to Earth.

On a separate note, my parents celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary! I'm so impressed and proud of them :)

Tularosa Wrap Dress

Tularosa Dress via Revolve

Here is my last post from Miami although the video has just been finished as well and I'll release it soon! We shot this on Key Biscayne beach and it was just as empty and peaceful as it looks. It was extremely windy though and I felt like I was going crazy trying to tame my hair until I finally just let it fly. This wrap dress is so soft and easy to throw on but you might want to wear a bralette for normal day to day wear. I was in a bathing suit most of the time and I still felt a bit exposed on top!

Have a lovely Tuesday! By the way, I'll be doing my very own beauty product giveaway on my Instagram later today @hapatime so check it out if you're interested!

Outside Lands Recap with Cafe Bustelo!

I recently got back from a weekend at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco for Outside Lands and it was blast! I'm so happy I finally had the chance to attend the festival since I seem to always be out of town in past years. SF weather is pretty unpredictable, and it was absolutely FREEZING the first two days and then when we were all bundled up for the third day it got sunny and warm! lol We hung out at the CafeBustelo Experience tent and drank up as much cafe con leche samples as possible (they were so good!!) to keep us warm and keep our energy going throughout the day. If you haven't tried Cafe Bustelo coffee before, you really have to try it. It smells amazing and tastes even more amazing! It’s sold at your local grocery store, or you can buy it online at JavaCabana.com.

Python Print Top

La A'cademie Top via Revolve | Shorts | Banana Republic Pumps (sold out, similar)| Tory Burch Bag | Lulus Earrings

A lot of people seem to think I live in San Francisco, but trust me, 99% of the time it is too cold to even wear shorts there. I actually live just about an hour south of the city and it is literally 20 degrees warmer on any given day. Over here we have perfect weather to wear anything you want really. For instance, this python print off-the-shoulder La A'cademie blouse I just got is so soft and flowy, I would hate to cover it with a jacket! I also love the 70's vibe it gives off with the bell sleeves. I let it be the star of the show and complimented it with nude, gold, cream and white.

Have a lovely day!

Miami Swim Week with KYBOE!

Longchamp Customized Bag (similar) | Cardigan | T-shirt

So I'm not sure how many of you keep up with my Instagram but as you might remember I went to Miami to hang out with KYBOE! during Swim Week 2016 a couple weeks ago. Two of my sisters and I flew in on a red eye. I immediately napped at the hotel (they wanted to explore) and then a little later in the day we attended the KYBOE! show at the FUNKSHION tent. After the show they had a little get together at a nearby hotel where we could get drinks and delicious little hors d'oeuvres. We were still hungry after though so we got dinner nearby. We sat outside because the weather was nice but it started pouring rain!! Even though we were under large umbrellas it started to leak down the sides and my bottom got soaked haha...

The following day we slept in then headed to the beach where they treated us to a luxurious meal served by The Setai. We spent a few delicious hours of tanning and swimming, then rushed back to shower and get ready for the dinner party. KYBOE! had a crazy party bus waiting for us and Marc Bell hosted us at his home. He even flew in a famous chef from LA.

We did stay a few days after and explored as well. We discovered the most amazing little Mexican spot called Taquiza - go there and order the totopos with guac and salsa! My goodness, to die for!!! We also got to see the San Lorenzo show, ride bikes and visit a secluded beach called Key Biscayne. My sister is working on a video of our trip which will hopefully be done next week but meanwhile here is a nice little recap of our trip. All pics were taken with the iPhone 6s Plus!

Blue Lace Zara Dress

If I could choose one trend out of the current fashion trends that I wouldn't mind wearing everyday, it would most definitely be lace. Lace makes everything more feminine, romantic, elegant and beautiful. Lace tops, lace dresses, lace coats, lace skirts, lace accents... though probably not lace pants...As soon as I saw this lace dress at Zara, I knew I had to have it. Unfortunately, everything at Zara is so popular they all sell out right away! :( This beautiful lace dress from Nordstrom is very similar and I also loveeee this stunning lace dress.

I'm still wearing in my new So Kate Louboutin's but if you are looking to buy a pair (they are just so sexy!) definitely go up a whole size. My sister did some research before buying them for me as my birthday present and almost all the reviews said go up a half or whole size. I usually wear 8.5 and she got me a 9.5 and they are a perfect fit.

What is your favorite fashion trend right now and what are you looking forward to for fall?

White Summer Lace Dress

Lulus Dress | Ted Baker Bag | Heels | Watch | Gabriel&Co Necklace

I just could not resist having Sophie in my photos again!! Since my sister Jasmine takes my photos for me these days, she almost always brings Sophie everywhere she goes since Sophie is so good in the car. Sophie also gets along with everyone and just wants to play all the time. I've never seen her be territorial or aggressive at all. She does get tired of me holding her though if we take too many pictures...

I wore this out to a late birthday dinner with my family. We went to Willard Hicks which is one of my favorite restaurants. I haven't tried anything there I don't like. By the way, I had no idea what to call this post - I wanted something feminine that spoke lace or white - I like to give you guys some hint about what to expect in a post from the title alone. Snow White kind of does the job, what do you think?

Poison Ivy

Zara Top (sold out, similar here) and Denim (similar here, also on sale) | Prada bag | Heels | Peggy Li Necklace

The cut, color and texture of this crop top reminds me of Poison Ivy, the Batman character! Haha... I got this crop top at Zara just one month ago and it sold out in both green and white and I believe one more color in probably a week. I just don't understand why they don't restock stuff like that! Anyways I paired it with one of my favorite jeans which also happen to be Zara and went a bit upscale with my bag ;) This was just a casual look for getting gelato and doing some shopping downtown.
