Finding Inspiration on Instagram

I love to use Instagram as a source of inspiration. There are hundreds of thousands (probably even millions) of beautiful photos and accounts to scour through from all over the world. When searching for inspo, think about the kind of photos that help you get creative and think out of the box. Below are a few of my favorite accounts!

I have been following @americanstyle for years now and is a great source for daily fashion inspo. The page is a collection of reposted accounts, so you get a huge variety of fashion, beauty and lifestyle photos. Be sure to give the page a follow and you might even see me featured on the page now and then 🙂

I was recently shown this account and it gives me so much fall joy! When planning trips, it is so helpful to gather ideas from others who have been to that location or to track how the specific location looks in real time assuming the photo was posted shortly after it was taken. (sometimes people will mention it was a #throwback or #tb to let others know it was from a previous time). We are heading to New England in a few days so when tracking something as time-sensitive as the fall foliage, it is helpful to know where the leaves are peaking or where it is past peak. I also like to search by the hashtag to see all of the photos from that location instead of just relying on one account.

I just love how vibrant and happy ohhcouture’s photos are! She visits such beautiful destinations and uses a variety of angles and props in her photos.

My sister came across @wonguy974‘s account while we were in Paris a few years ago and we ended up meeting up with him to shoot together (see posts here and here) It was our first time in Paris so it worked out so well to have someone who was familiar with the city and to get a different perspective when shooting. I love Olivier’s use of light and reflection. His account will give you Paris envy all year long!

I love how creative @tonimahfud is with every single one of his photos. The mood of his photos, use of lighting and colors, and editing are so unique. He also shares his artwork which is AMAZING.
