Polka Dots

navy-bagSwing Coat, Red Blouse, Polka Dot Pants, Schutz Heels, Prada Bag, Emporio Armani Sunglasses

We shot these last week before the storm hit. In fact it was so warm I did end up taking off my coat eventually. But I went for a Christmas-y sort of color scheme and it definitely made me feel full of cheer 🙂 It helped to have some coffee too of course.

I personally think this is a great office look, but I know that often prints or bold colors are a big no no at work. What do you guys think? According to an article on Forbes.com, polka dots are a yes. But then again they say drawstring pants and lace hem pencil skirts are okay too and I think those are definite no’s. Thoughts?

Have a great weekend!

I think your look is perfect for the office! I suppose it depends on what sort of environment you work in, but any workplace that can't accept their employees putting their own spin on their work clothes is probably the wrong firm for creative/stylish employees.http://fashamorphosis.blogspot.com

Like Ada said above — it would depend on the office environment! I've worked in offices where that would have been a bit much (I probably would have swapped out the red shirt for a cream or beige shirt, or the pants for a basic black, and probably slightly lower pumps instead of heels) and offices where it would have been perfect. I love the fit and shape of that blazer!

Good thing you were able to get some shots in before the storm hit the Bay Area! It's been so dreary and gloomy lately.Maybe my office is just too casual but this look would totally work in my office. It's very bold but not too distracting. I really love the holiday feel of this look.

You look so wonderful as always and love the ensemble you put together. Professional, classy and a bit more casual from your normal look but still fun with the pop of colours and polka dot patterns. I would totally wear this to an office job!I'll have to say no to drawstring pants as well, but I think lace hem pencil skirts are totally okay. :PHave a good day, Tifa

Where did you get your white coat? The ASOS link is not the same as the one you are wearing (note the faux pockets on each side).
