Wooden Shoe Tulip Field

Dress | Hat | Kate Spade Earrings | Kendra Scott Necklace

A few weeks ago my sister and I visited the Wooden Shoe Tulip Field in Woodburn, Oregon and you guys may have seen my Instagram posts! It was way bigger this year which we did NOT EXPECT! Also we were so lucky because we debated for a long time whether we should go 2 days or 1, and finally decided on 2! The first day we got there and it was super windy, cold and cloudy! The second day ended up being completely perfect, bright, little to no wind and warm. Granted, the second day was a Saturday and we were really trying to avoid going on the weekend! So of course it was SUPER busy but as I mentioned earlier, the festival/field was wayyyy bigger this year and we had no problem finding less areas with less people.

The tulip festival is actually really fun, and they have all kinds of goodies! You can buy cut tulips that have yet to completely bloom, and even pack it in your suitcase for a few hours if you have to fly home. They have food vendors, and games for all ages! Mostly everyone seems to go just to take photos with the tulips but if you have kids or just want to rest (since there is a lot of walking around giant tulip fields) there are other places to hang out! I also really like that the festival is dog friendly and a lot of the workers carry around dog treats for the good doggies 🙂 If you bring your dog though, don’t forget water!

While we were shooting, a woman near us commented that my dress was “the most beautiful dress in America” hehe… isn’t that cute? I do agree this dress is so gorgeous and I’m happy to let you guys know it actually comes in 9 colors [I also wore it here in Charleston]. It would make a great graduation dress or wedding guest dress (and it’s only $89!)! I do think it runs a bit small, so I believe I could have sized up one size and it would have fit better. I paired it with sneakers because the tulip fields were a little muddy, but I recommend pairing it with some nude heels (my favorite are from Stuart Weitzman or these Sam Edelman sandals.

How do you guys feel about jewelry? When I first started blogging, I was still trying to figure out my personal style and preferences. I didn’t know if I preferred silver or gold, and I couldn’t decide whether I liked feminine, casual, sexy or big city best. I now know I love gold best, and my style is very feminine and/or casual! Maybe the casual part is because I’ve been getting older haha and I know it’s not worth being uncomfortable anymore! I also really gravitate towards my daintiest jewelry. My sister loves big earrings and sometimes I wear them too… but the tiny pieces are my favorite 🙂 I’ve been buying so many studs and fine jewelry… and my favorite places to buy them are ShopBop and Nordstrom.

Also, you guys might have noticed, I’m not a big hat person, but I LOVE this hat!! I’m actually shocked I love it! I have tried so many hats over the years and found I never actually ended up wearing any, but you guys can bet I’ll wear this one all summer! XOXO

That’s a gorgeous dress indeed, that lady was right. The pictures are beautiful, tulips are my favourite flower and I’d love to visit one of those fields one day but sadly we don’t have any in my country.
