Dealing with Stress & Anxiety: Why I Started Taking SuperYou Daily Stress Management

I was so excited to recently discover my favorite beauty store Sephora has introduced a department of wellness for beauty from the inside! I’ve always loved going to Sephora for makeup, skincare and hair care products (they honestly carry all the best brands) and now I’m happy that can go to them for wellness as well!

I just have to tell you guys about one of their products called Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management. I recently added this to my daily routine (taking two capsules before bed) and overall I have been feeling less stressed, seen a positive change in my mood and temperament, and I have been sleeping better! Before I go more into this, I would like to give you a little back story about my own stress and anxieties that I deal with but don’t often share.  

When I started my blog back in 2012 I was quickly in over my head. I had emails flooding in, brands trying to talk to me, followers asking questions, my family picking on me for wasting my time… it was like a stress party. Was I doing the right thing? Who should I answer first? How do I manage everything?

My sister started working for me about 3 and a half years ago and just took a huge load off my back. Even though I feel comfortable most of the time, I can still get anxiety during our trips together.  I’ve found a few things that really help. One of my favorites is a nice, hot shower. But you can’t take a shower everywhere with you, can you? Even better is a good night’s sleep, which granted you can’t always get with Red-Eyes, time changes, or loud cities.

I also love hugging and playing with my puppy Rosie. I wish I could take her everywhere. It’s also nice to carry a little pouch of lavender and just breathe it in. Chamomile tea helps too but… not much.

Something I have been very embarrassed to tell people about is that I get cold sores. And over  the last few years I’ve figured out my cold sores are directly correlated to how much sleep I get. If I get less than 8 hours of sleep for 3 days in a row, it’s a surefire way for me to have a cold sore outbreak. The less sleep you get, the higher the levels of cortisol running through your body. Too much cortisol is harmful to every part of your body. I really wish I never got cold sores but I feel lucky of the fact that I do causes me to take the best care of myself that I can. Getting enough sleep is important for me now to prevent cold sores and also keep my skin looking its best, but in the long run, it’s so important for my brain health. Looking into ways to prevent cold sores has also led me to discover so many herbs and medicines that are good for us in many ways such as helping our immune system or making our hearts stronger, but I would never have found otherwise.

Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management is a product that can lower cortisol levels up to 24%. I’ve found I typically only get less sleep and have to deal with most other high stress situations when I’m traveling so I am so excited to have Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management on all my upcoming trips (and of course any times I’m not traveling too!).

What I love most about Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management is the combination of  incredible ingredients. Their first four ingredients: Shatavari root extract, Ashwagandha root and leaf extract°, Amla fruit extract° and Rhodiola root extract are some very powerful ingredients. They are all in fact well known for being stress relievers. The two I am most familiar with and have previously learned about are Ashwagandha and Amla. Ashwagandha is like a miracle herb to me: studies have found it can reduce blood sugar levels (I am prone to hypoglycemia so this is helpful), it can reduce cortisol levels, it reduces stress, and it may even help your memory. He singularly mentioned how we all think blueberries are an antioxidant powerhouse but the true winner is Amla powder, which seriously leaves blueberries in the dust. Upon further research, Amla powder has shown to help protect skin from stress and support collagen levels.

To be quite honest, EVERYONE should be taking Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management! There are just so many reasons to… I can just imagine how much more relaxed and happy the world could be! 🙂

I think it’s easiest to see and feel the results of Moon Juice: SuperYou Daily Stress Management after taking it consecutively for a few days. My body needs time to absorb and react. When I am taking it regularly I can see a difference in my overall mood and temperament. I recognize situations in which I feel more calm and less stressed. I have been sleeping better too.
