I’m home now but here are some photos from my trip to Cabo last week! It’s crazy how fast time flies, I feel like I was there just a couple days ago haha! The first thing we fell in love with when we got to our resort, the Grand Velas Los Cabos, was the amazing welcome! They gave us fresh fruit tea and champagne, a quick shoulder and neck massage and cool towels to wash our hands and faces. The second thing we fell in love with was their gorgeous pool area. They have pools in every direction with the most gorgeous blue water, and all these lovely white umbrellas giving off the perfect amount of shade!
This dress ended up matching the resort so well, and I must say my bag was just right too. If I was Goldilocks, I’d be one happy gal! This was one of our easiest shoots ever haha! Since the resort was all-inclusive, I didn’t have to carry around money, but my bag was just the right size for my bulky iPhone and some gloss to touch up my LipSense. I could have easily fit in some cash and credit cards but this bag does have a pretty small interior so keep that in mind if you plan on buying it! The brand is Cult Gaia and they have such unique pieces!
Let’s also talk about this dress a little! It’s airy and light and the shoulder ties are so “in”!! It also has pockets. I normally wear XS but this dress was super tight around the upper area so I had to size up to S. And FYI I’m 5’4″ so this was a midi dress on me but if you’re shorter it could be a maxi!
If you plan on staying at the Grand Velas, here’s the lowdown on the food: everything was super high quality and we even tried the fine dining experience at Cocina De Autor. Out of the 10 course (fine dining) meal, I liked the spicy tuna dish best. Restaurant Frida has a Mexican theme – we loved how they surprised us with a starter of quesadilla cheese, tortillas and salsas which was really good, and for dessert we got a chocolate cake which was amazing. At Restaurant Lucca which has an Italian/Mediterranean theme, I got a pasta with white sauce and my sister got lasagna. Both were very good and extremely rich! We also tried tried every dessert on the menu at Lucca and my sister loved the cashew ice cream. Our absolute favorite restaurant however, was the Restaurant Velas 10. They have a buffet breakfast and lunch. Sooooo good!! This is a super high quality buffet. They have a custom quesadilla, french toast and and egg area, so for breakfast they can make your eggs or toast however you like. For lunch they have a section for custom pasta and tacos. I got pasta for lunch one time and it was AMAZING. My sister got the tacos and said they were also amazing but I bet my pasta was better 😀 Last but not least, we ate at a little spot near the pool called Restaurant Cabrilla and you have a selection of tostadas or ceviches. I personally am not a huge fan of ceviche but the Sierra Tostada was incredible. It was so good, I got it twice! I also really enjoyed their guac and chips.
I have more to tell you guys and more photos to share so I’ll continue my review of the Grand Velas in my next post 🙂
