A Weekend in San Francisco

This past weekend was so fun! I don’t know how many of you saw on Instagram, but I spoke on the Create and Cultivate panel. It was super exciting and scary at the same time! I have always dreaded public speaking but I’ve found if I practice enough I feel good when I finally do it.

We stayed at the Bei Hotel which was pretty great. The room was big and we had a nice view on the 12th floor. The beds were ok and there was no mini bar. I liked the vibe though and the crowd going in and out was young and hip. On Friday morning we had a 9 am workout class with Dani Parker at the Assembly.

The Assembly is a repurposed church and it is seriously so beautiful. Members only, they have a cafe/lounge area inside and it’s women only unless a woman wants to bring a male guest. They have all kinds of fitness classes, a backyard with lemon trees and a relaxation room with a gravity blanket, LED mask and compression boots. The locker room/showers are lovely and for nursing mothers, there is also a breast feeding room. I also loved the kitchen area!

The workout class was so unique and fun! Dani Parker is all muscle and you can tell she is really passionate about what she does!  It was a great combination of cardio, interval training with light weights, yoga and meditation. I have never done anything like it before and usually don’t care for classes but I would love to do it again!

After the workout class, my sister Jasmine and I got a healthy breakfast at the Wooden Spoon which was only a 10 min walk from the Assembly. Jasmine got avocado toast which looked amazing and I got the Morning Bowl and added avocado and an egg. It was so delicious and a wonderful addition to our morning.

Then next few hours we showered and explored the city. We always love looking for new cool places and spent some time walking around the Marina District. I wore this soft white crop sweater with my new corduroy skirt. I would definitely suggest sizing up for the skirt. These boots are also so comfortable and perfect for a lot of walking (and they are 40% off right now with the code prefall!). We then got sushi before heading back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. On our way to our uber, we saw a gorgeous home with loads of bougainvillea which seriously took my breath away. Uber prices skyrocketed ($32 to go like 2 miles?? I guess it was a price surge) and so we did pool. The driver picked up 4 other people!

Dinner was at the Bei hotel with many of the speakers, Create and Cultivate crew, the Alaska crew (a huge sponsor) and many more amazing individuals. I met the CEO of Caulipower (I’d love to try their pizza!!) and a few other lovely ladies. At the end of the dinner we were so shocked when everyone was gifted a free Alaska flight! Jasmine and I don’t know what to use it for but we might use the tickets for Alaska!Saturday was a whirlwind! Jasmine and I first had a few campaigns to shoot in connection with Create and Cultivate and we checked out some of the booths. We got yummy matcha drinks and a salad in the cafeteria. After that it was just about socializing and practicing for the panel. The panel was at 5:30 and I was just trying so hard to focus on keeping my blood sugar levels in check and breathing normally haha!

The panel happened so fast and I felt like it was too fast actually! We didn’t even have time for a Q and A at the end. After the panel I hung out at the Vince Camuto booth where I got to meet some of you guys! It was nice and chill and then we headed out to go back to the south bay. My family got a really late dinner together at a great Indian spot and that was the end of the night!

Sunday was a chance for me to relax and I’m ready for a new week! I have so much to do and always love the start of a new week! XOXO
