Visiting Multonomah Falls in Autumn

There are so many stunning places on the west coast that most people don’t know about. Multonomah Falls is always busy, but somehow I believe it is still one of those places! And did you know that not only is there a stunning waterfall but you can also do up to a 2.2 mile hike to the top and at the bottom, you can buy fresh fudge, hot drinks and roasted nuts at the shop!

Multonomah Falls is only a 45 minute drive from Portland, Oregon. Both times my sister and I went it was between 40’s – low 50’s. This outfit was definitely not warm enough and I even did part of the hike in these 3 inch booties and lets just say by the end I could not feel my fingers or toes. Most people wore sneakers but I still think most people looked cold too. So if you visit, can I just recommend a parka, comfortable shoes and maybe some ski pants!!

While we were there, we happened to witness a proposal! I’ve seen maybe 3 in my life and it’s always amazing! I think the guy hired a girl to look like a regular tourist to take their photos. I thought it was interesting he set up a tripod and everything and the girl he proposed to probably knew something was up when, despite the tripod and camera timer, he still asked the “stranger” to take the photo. Very fun little experience and congrats to the new couple! I’m not sure if they’ll ever see this photo but it would be cool if they did!
