This Black Swan dress is so SOFT. I belted it to give it more shape but seriously the dress is as comfy as a night gown. I really adore the floral stitching detail and the fluffy underlayer around the bottom of the dress too. I think in retrospect I should have picked white, but the good thing about gray is that it will work great for fall with a heavy cardi and some thick tights!
Now most of you would likely never guess that this dress was hemmed. Because of course it doesn't look like it can be, right?! My local alterations ladies are so amazing - they took it apart around the waist and removed material that way - probably taking off about 3 inches. The altered length works better for my 5'4" frame :)

Wow, your tailors did a great job hemming this dress. I love the flower pattern on the edges too. I agree, white would have been so cute but as you said this grey dress will be a great transition piece for fall.
