Cancun was fun and I loved how much food was available, ALL the time (we were at an all-inclusive resort called the Valentin Imperial Maya. In fact I may have gained a pound!! The breakfasts and dinners were my favorite. Custom omelettes and crepes every morning? Japanese, French, Mexican, Italian or Indonesian at night? It doesn’t get much better than that!
I wish we had given ourselves a bit more relaxing time than going out for so many excursions but it’s okay! Next time 😉 The zip lining was great – we loved the bicycle riding and my guy had a blast on the amphibious vehicle. There were also so many cool animals at one park (Xcaret) we visited – manatees, monkeys, panthers, turtles, flamingos and more!
It’s so funny how easy it is to get out of the USA but to get back in they make it quite the nightmare. Customs in Houston, Texas took about two hours and I think it was even longer for the non-Americans. We happily made it through with no real problems (like lost luggage, whew!) though.
